Description

The dual-channel pulse counter SI1-03 is designed to count the number of pulses received at the device's input, with the ability to set three preset values. It can be used to determine the quantity of products produced (in any units—length, weight, pieces, etc.), measure movement, bread baking time, and more. A built-in timer allows the device to be used as an equipment operating time counter., flow meter.
The meters are manufactured in two power modifications: from an alternating voltage network with a nominal value of 110..240V or from a constant voltage source with a nominal value of 12..24V.

The pulse counter SI1-03 is designed for:

  • counting the number of pulses coming from measuring sensors to the counting inputs (or one counting input) of the impulse counter and recalculating them into the required physical units of measurement by multiplying by a given factor (for example, in meters, liters, pieces, kilograms, etc.);
  • calculating the total output per shift, day, week, month, etc.;
  • control of actuators with one or more discrete outputs (most often, a relay or optocoupler is used as a discrete output in pulse counters).

An inductive sensor (proximity sensor) or an encoder is used as a sensor.

Proximity sensor is a position switch that operates without mechanical contact with the moving part (machine). Position switch is an automatic switch of control circuits, the control mechanism of which is activated when the moving part of the machine reaches a given position.

Main functions of SI1-03:

  • automatic counting of the number of pulses received at the counting input (via two channels);
  • control of external executive devices, upon reaching a predetermined number of pulses;
  • forward and backward counting of impulses;
  • calculation of equipment operating time (time counter);
  • measurement of the number of pulses per unit of time (tachometer, flow meter);
  • automatic saving of counting results when the power is turned off;
  • dividing and multiplying the counted number of pulses by the coefficients entered programmatically by the user;
  • elimination of the influence of contact bounce of the input sensor on the results of counting pulses;
  • displaying the results of counting the number of pulses on the built-in LED digital indicator (4 or 5 digits);
  • the ability to work with various types of encoders, optical sensors with npn or pnp output;
  • password protection of parameters;
  • quick access to frequently changed parameters;
  • interface RS-485 (optional).

FAQ

Questions and answers

How many channels does the SI1-03 pulse counter support?
The pulse counter SI1-03 supports operation with two channels, allowing simultaneous counting of pulses from two sources.
What power supply does the SI1-03 pulse counter support?
The device can be powered either from an AC mains supply of 110–240 V or from a DC power source of 12–24 V, depending on the modification.
Is it possible to control actuators using the SI1-03?
The counter can control external actuators through discrete outputs, which are often implemented as relays or optocouplers.
Does the counter save data when power is lost?
Yes, the device automatically saves all counting results even when the power is turned off, preventing data loss.
Does the counter support an interface for data transmission?
Optionally, the counter is equipped with an RS-485 interface for connection to automation systems and remote monitoring.
