Mounting bosses B-002

Mounting bosses B-002 (full name BPP-B-002) are designed for installation of resistance thermometers (RTD), thermoelectric converters (TC) and protective sleeves on the measured objects. Installation of B-002 bosses is carried out by welding connection.

Bosses are manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe thread according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch thread according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Mounting thread can be made upon Customer's request according to other standards.

Materials used for manufacturing B-002 bosses: steel 12Х18Н10Т according to EN 10088 or steel St3. On Customer's request, protective thermometer sleeves can be made of other steel grades.

AISI 321 12Х18Н10Т 08Х18Н10Т — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel of high strength and durability class. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in aggressive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 08Х18Н10 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel suitable for use at temperatures up to 400 °C in moderately aggressive environments.
AISI 316L 03Х17Н14М3 — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti 10Х17Н13М2Т — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel suitable for use at temperatures up to 600 °C in highly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 12Х17 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel designed for operation at temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12Х1МФ — heat-resistant steel resistant to prolonged exposure to high temperatures of pearlitic class, used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

B-002 bosses should be operated within working pressures and temperatures not exceeding the limit values established by the relevant standards and state supervision rules for these materials and operating conditions.

Installation of B-002 bosses on the site is carried out according to the instructions of the equipment on which they are installed. Sealing gaskets for installation of resistance thermometers are not included in the delivery set.

Designation of mounting bosses B-002 according to TU U26.5-32195027-008:2016 "Mounting bosses BPP-B-002.D.d.L.M":

• L – length of the mounting part, mm;
• D – outer diameter, mm;
• d – inner diameter, mm;
• M – thread type.

The boss chamfer angle is 45B0.
