Mounting Bosses B-003

Mounting bosses B-003 (full name BPP-B-003) are designed for installation of resistance thermometers (RTD), thermoelectric converters (TC), and protective sleeves on temperature control objects. Mounting of B-003 bosses is performed by welded connection.

Bosses are manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and taper inch according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Upon customer's request, mounting threads can be made according to other standards.

Materials for manufacturing mounting bosses B-003: steel 12Х18Н10Т according to EN 10088 or steel St3. Upon individual order, manufacturing of thermometer sleeves from other steel grades is possible.

AISI 321 / 12Х18Н10Т / 08Х18Н10Т - heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Noted for high strength and durability. Permissible operation temperature up to 600 °C, in highly corrosive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 / 08Х18Н10 - heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Recommended for use at temperatures up to 400 °C in moderately active environments.
AISI 316L / 03Х17Н14М3 - corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Suitable for operation at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti / 10Х17Н13М2Т - corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C in highly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 / 12Х17 - heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Suitable for conditions up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12Х1МФ - heat-resistant pearlitic steel, resistant to prolonged exposure to high temperatures up to 600 °C.

The operation of B-003 bosses must be conducted within working pressures and temperatures that do not exceed permissible values according to current state norms and rules for the respective materials and operating conditions.

Mounting of B-003 bosses on site is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the equipment where installation is performed. Sealing gaskets for installation of resistance thermometers are not supplied as a set.

Designation of mounting bosses B-003 according to TU U26.5-32195027-008:2016 - "Mounting bosses BPP-B-003.D.D1.d.L.L1.M":

• L - length of the mounting part, mm;
• L1 - length of the transition, mm;
• D - outer diameter, mm;
• D1 - diameter for mounting the boss;
• d - inner diameter, mm;
• M - thread type.
