Mounting Bosses B-004

Mounting bosses B-004 (full name BPP-B-004) are designed for installation of resistance thermometers (RT), thermoelectric converters (TT) and protective sleeves at sites subject to thermometry. Installation of B-004 bosses is performed using welded connection.

Bosses are manufactured with mounting thread: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Mounting thread can be made upon Customer’s request according to other standards.

The material of B-004 bosses is steel grade 12Х18Н10Т according to EN 10088 or steel St3. On Customer's request, manufacturing of thermometer sleeves from other steel grades is possible.

AISI 321 12Х18Н10Т 08Х18Н10Т — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant and fireproof austenitic steel. Has high strength and durability. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in strongly aggressive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 08Х18Н10 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in environments of medium activity.
AISI 316L 03Х17Н14М3 — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti 10Х17Н13М2Т — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C in strongly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 12Х17 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12Х1МФ — heat-resistant, steel of pearlitic class resistant to prolonged high temperature exposure. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

Operation of B-004 bosses should be within working temperatures and pressures not exceeding limits established by normative documents for these materials and operating conditions.

Installation of B-004 bosses on site is carried out according to instructions for the equipment on which it is mounted. Sealing gaskets for mounting RT are not included in the delivery set.
