Mounting bosses B-005 (BPP-B-005) are designed for installation of resistance thermometers, thermoelectric converters, and protective sleeves. Equipped with metric, pipe, or tapered threads according to GOST and adaptable upon customer request.
Mounting bosses B-005 (full name BPP-B-005) are designed for reliable installation of resistance thermometers (RT), thermoelectric converters (TC), and protective sleeves at temperature measurement sites. Installation is performed using a rubber joint that ensures reliable and tight mounting.
The bosses are equipped with different types of mounting threads: metric thread according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe thread according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch thread according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Upon customer request, threads can be manufactured according to other standards to meet specific operating conditions.
Materials used include steels 12Х18Н10Т according to EN 10088 or St3. On individual orders, other steel grades are available that provide additional resistance to corrosion, high temperatures, and aggressive environments.
Briefly about the main steel grades from which the bosses are made:
- AISI 321, 12Х18Н10Т, 08Х18Н10Т – heat-resistant austenitic steel resistant to corrosion and heating up to 600 °C (up to 350 °C in aggressive environments);
- AISI 304, 08Х18Н10 – heat-resistant austenitic steel for temperatures up to 400 °C in moderately active environments;
- AISI 316L, 03Х17Н14М3 – corrosion-resistant austenitic steel for temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments;
- AISI 316Ti, 10Х17Н13М2Т – steel for temperatures up to 600 °C in highly aggressive environments;
- AISI 430, 12Х17 – ferritic heat-resistant steel for temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments;
- 12Х1МФ – pearlitic heat-resistant steel for long-term use at temperatures up to 600 °C.
Operation of the bosses should be carried out within established normative parameters of temperature and working pressure to ensure safe and long-term service.
Installation of B-005 bosses is performed according to the instructions of the equipment on which they are installed. Sealing gaskets for installing resistance thermometers are not included and are selected separately.
The product designation according to TU U26.5-32195027-008:2016 has the format: Mounting bosses BPP-B-005.D.d.L.M.a.S, where L – length of the mounting part (mm), D – outer diameter (mm), d – inner diameter (mm), M – thread type, S – hexagon size, a – thread depth (optional).
