The coolers are designed to cool the measured medium entering the working cavities of pressure measuring instruments. Material – stainless steel grade AISI 321 (GOST equivalent – steel grade 12Х18Н10Т). Inlet temperature – 250 °C, outlet temperature – 45 °C, at ambient temperature 20 °C. Manufacturing of the cooler with other connecting and overall dimensions according to Customer drawings is possible.

Description

The medium cooler for pressure gauges is designed to cool and prevent damage to pressure gauges and pressure sensors that measure the pressure of steam, hot liquids, and other media with high operating temperatures, providing protection from direct exposure to the hot medium. Using the cooler allows reducing the medium temperature to the operating temperature of the transducer by heat dissipation.

The medium cooler for pressure gauges is manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724, pipe cylindrical BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. If necessary, the mounting thread can be made according to other standards upon Customer request.

The cooler is made of steel grade 12Х18Н10Т according to EN 10088. Manufacturing of the cooler from other steel grades is possible upon Customer request.

AISI 321 12Х18Н10Т 08Х18Н10Т – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and heat-proof austenitic steel grade. Has high strength and durability. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in very aggressive environments – up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 08Х18Н10 – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel grade, used at temperatures up to 400 °C in moderately active environments.
AISI 316L 03Х17Н14М3 – corrosion-resistant austenitic steel grade, used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti 10Х17Н13М2Т – corrosion-resistant austenitic steel grade, used at temperatures up to 600 °C in very aggressive environments.
AISI 430 12Х17 – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel, used at temperatures up to 400 °C in low-aggressive environments.
12Х1МФ – heat-resistant, long-term high temperature resistant pearlitic steel, used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

The medium coolers for pressure gauges should be operated at working pressures and temperature regimes not exceeding the limits established by the relevant standards and government control rules for the given material and operating conditions.

The installation of coolers on site is carried out according to the instructions for the equipment on which they are mounted.
