Description

Manometric adapters (damping device, damper) are used for installing pressure gauges, assembling pressure measurement systems, as well as auxiliary devices for pressure measurement systems.

The damping device (damper) is designed to smooth out pressure in air ducts. It helps reduce pulsations of the working medium, thereby protecting the measuring instrument (such as a pressure gauge or pressure sensor) from hydraulic shocks. The damper has a dismountable design for cleaning. The presence inside the housing of alternating partitions and capacitive chambers with holes arranged in a staggered pattern ensures high efficiency in smoothing the measured pressure. The damping device does not affect the measurement accuracy.

The adapters are manufactured with installation threads: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Installation threads can also be made on request according to other standards.

The adapters are made of 12X18H10T steel according to EN 10088. Upon customer's request, adapters for pressure measurement instruments can be made from other steels.

AISI 321 (12X18H10T), 08X18H10T – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature austenitic steel. It has high strength and durability. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and up to 350 °C in highly corrosive environments.
AISI 304 (08X18H10) – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in moderately active environments.
AISI 316L (03X17H14M3) – corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti (10X17H13M2T) – corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Suitable for use at temperatures up to 600 °C in highly corrosive environments.
AISI 430 (12X17) – heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12X1MF – heat-resistant pearlitic steel, resistant to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

Pressure gauge adapters are produced in various modifications according to the table:

FAQ

Questions and answers

What is the purpose of the damping device in manometric adapters?
The damping device in manometric adapters is used to smooth out pressure in air ducts, reducing pulsations of the working medium and protecting pressure gauges or pressure sensors from hydraulic shocks.
What material are the manometric adapters made of?
Manometric adapters are made from 12X18H10T steel (AISI 321), which is heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Production from other steel grades is possible upon request.
What types of threads do the manometric adapters have?
The adapters feature metric threads according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe threads according to BSPP/ISO 228-1, and tapered inch threads according to NPT/ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Custom manufacturing to other standards is also possible upon order.
How does the design of the damping device ensure its effectiveness and measurement accuracy?
The damper has a dismountable design for cleaning and internally contains alternating partitions and capacitive chambers with holes arranged in a staggered pattern. This provides effective pressure smoothing without affecting the measurement accuracy.
