Specifications

Description

The voltage, current, and temperature protection device UZ2 is designed to monitor and indicate the parameters of a three-phase network, as well as to provide protective disconnection of electrical equipment and/or signal activation in case of emergency situations. These include the following cases:

  • power supply voltage going beyond the set limits;
  • absence of one or two phases in the three-phase network;
  • phase sticking;
  • incorrect phase sequence;
  • amplitude phase shift;
  • phase imbalance;
  • exceeding maximum consumption current;
  • exceeding the temperature of the protected object.

The device measures voltage and current values for each phase separately and displays them on the built-in digital indicator with simultaneous status monitoring.
UZ2 allows displaying the consumed load power for each phase and the total for all three phases.
UZ2 performs the following functions:

  • measurement and display of the effective or peak voltage value;
  • measurement and display of the effective or peak consumption current value;
  • calculation and display of the power consumed by the load;
  • protective disconnection of the control starter in emergency situations;
  • generation of an "Error" signal;
  • data exchange with a personal computer via the RS-485 interface.

The device is powered from any phase where voltage is present. The sensor type for temperature control is NTC10k. Current measurement is performed by DTX-type sensors with a standardized 0-10 V output signal.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What is the purpose of the UZ2 protection device?
The protection device UZ2 monitors the parameters of a three-phase network: voltage, current, and temperature, and performs protective disconnection of electrical equipment in case of an emergency situation, for example, when the voltage goes out of range, phase loss occurs, or current or temperature exceed limits.
What parameters does the UZ2 measure and display?
The UZ2 measures and displays voltage and current values for each phase separately, as well as displays the consumed power per phase and the total for all three phases on the built-in digital indicator.
What are the power supply conditions and types of sensors used in the UZ2?
The device is powered from any phase where voltage is present. Current measurement uses DTX-type sensors with a 0-10 V output signal, and temperature control uses an NTC10k-type sensor.
What protection functions and interactions with other devices does the UZ2 have?
The UZ2 performs protective disconnection of the control starter, generates "Error" signals during faults, and supports data exchange with a computer via the RS-485 interface for parameter monitoring.
