Non-contact current sensors designed for measuring and monitoring alternating, direct, or pulsed currents across a wide range with high accuracy. DTX sensors enable creating feedback systems for control and protection of electric drive equipment.
The DTX current sensor is a current-to-voltage converter. The sensor is designed for measuring alternating, direct, or pulsed current up to 625 A.
DTX sensors are used in power supply monitoring systems for rapid response or prevention of failures. The device utilizes an integrated sensor based on the Hall effect, which measures the magnetic field intensity near the surface of a current-carrying conductor. This way, the signal and power circuits are galvanically isolated.
DTX is an integrated current transformer operating on the Hall effect, intended for measuring the strength of direct, alternating, or pulsed current in power circuits. The sensor measures current in a conductor and converts the magnetic field level around the conductor into an industrial interface signal value (0-10V/0-20mA/4-20mA). The absence of a measuring shunt and power connectors ensures improved efficiency and reliability of the system.
The DTX sensor is powered by a 24 V DC supply, with the output signal referenced to the power supply "minus" terminal.
DTX current sensors of the compensating type or zero-flux sensors have a built-in compensation circuit that significantly improves sensor characteristics. The output current, proportional to the Hall voltage, acts as a feedback signal. Due to its action, the resultant magnetic flux in the magnetic core is virtually absent. Compensating current sensors can measure currents from several amperes to several hundred thousand amperes. They feature high accuracy, good linearity, low temperature drift, short response time, and a wide frequency range.
Characteristics of the DTX current sensors:
- non-contact current measurement (no shunt elements);
- galvanic isolation up to 3000 V;
- two information interfaces: analog and RS-485 (DTX-04 model);
- data exchange protocol for RS-485 interface - Modbus RTU;
- additional 0-10V measurement input (DTX-04 model);
- measurement error 1 %;
- DIN rail mounting (device width 35 mm).
The DTX current sensor is a non-contact sensor with the main advantage being the absence of a measuring shunt and power connectors, which increases efficiency and system reliability.
The product range includes modifications with standard analog outputs of 0..10V or 4..20mA.
The physical dimensions of the sensors in height depend on the current for which the sensor is rated.
All sensors are capable of working with REGMIK devices that have an analog input.
