The PID controller RP1-3 is designed for controlling electric actuators of shut-off control valves (SCV) or three-way valves regardless of their position using PID or pulse control laws, and also allows regulating the input physical quantity according to the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law in the "heater-cooler" system. It has a DIN-rail mounted enclosure. Custom device modifications with outputs K, OC, OK or OC and powering from DC/AC source of 12..24 V nominal are possible. Specifications

Description

The PID controller for controlling gate valves and three-position valves RP1-3 is designed to receive and convert signals coming from resistance temperature detectors (RTD), thermoelectric converters (TC), and sensors with unified current output signals (CS) and voltage signals (VS) into temperature values (or other physical quantities) with display on built-in digital indicators, simultaneously providing temperature regulation of objects according to proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control law.

The RP1-3 allows controlling an electric actuator of shut-off control valves (SCV) or three-way valves regardless of their position using PID or pulse control laws.

The device automatically monitors sensor status and the measured temperature's presence within the set measurement range.

Main Functions of RP1-3:

  • Measurement of temperature, humidity, pressure (or other physical parameters) of various objects via one or two channels using standard sensors:
    Resistance temperature detectors [RTD], thermoelectric converters [TC],
    Sensors with unified current output signals 0..5 mA, 0(4)..20 mA [CS], and
    Voltage output signals 0..1V, 0..10V [VS];
  • Display of current and set temperature values on built-in LED digital indicators;
  • Control of physical quantity by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law;
  • Control of electric actuator of shut-off control valve (SCV) or three-way valve without regard to the valve position using PID or pulse control law;
  • Maintaining object temperature by PID law in the "heater-cooler" system;
  • Ability to change set temperature values (setpoints) for the PID controller;
  • Automatic tuning of PID controller coefficients;
  • Data exchange with a personal computer via RS-485 interface;
  • Two power supply modifications: from AC mains nominal 220 V or DC source nominal 12..24 V;
  • Light indication of device operating mode and generation of "Error" signal.
