Edge Banding Machine Controller RD2-03

Purpose

The RD2-03 edge banding machine controller is designed to receive and convert signals coming from temperature sensors (resistance temperature detectors - RTDs) into temperature values and display them on a built-in digital indicator with simultaneous temperature control of objects according to a two-position control law. The controller has two inputs for connecting temperature sensors and three output switching devices. The RD2-03 controller is used as a controller for management and automation of edge banding machines and other industrial equipment.

The RD2-03 controller automatically monitors the condition of the input temperature sensor, the measurement temperature staying within the set measurement range, correct parameter input, and instrument calibration. Based on the monitoring results, a control signal is generated, along with an "Error" signal in case of equipment malfunction.

The controller can manage two independent heating elements of the edge banding machine (roller and tank) to maintain a constant temperature of the hot-melt adhesive on the glue applicator roller, which ensures higher quality edge gluing to chipboard panels.

• Discrete input for switching from operating mode to standby mode (switching controllers of 1st and 2nd channels to the set value of the 3rd channel);
• Data exchange with personal computer via RS-485 interface using standard Modbus RTU protocol;
• Generation of "Error" signal;
• Software modification of the controller’s transformation characteristic parameters;
• Maximum switched load current – 8 A;
• Supply voltage of RD2-03 controller – 220 V AC;
• Warranty period (warranty does not cover switching devices) – 36 months.
