Description

Contact Sensor DK-101 (magnetic contact sensor, reed switch)

Principle: operates using a magnet and a reed switch. When the magnet approaches, the contacts close.
Application: security alarms (door/window opening).

Advantages: inexpensive, easy to install.
Disadvantages: may trigger false alarms during strong vibrations.

For installation on site, the contact sensors have a standard M8 thread.
Both horizontal and vertical mounting of the DK-101 contact sensor are possible.

FAQ

Questions and answers

How does the DK-101 sensor work?
The contact sensor DK-101 operates using a magnet and a reed switch. When the magnet approaches, the contacts close, allowing the detection of opening or closing of an object.
What mounting options are available for the DK-101 sensor?
The sensor can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. Standard M8 threading is used for mounting, and the mounting part has a length of 22 mm.
Where is the DK-101 sensor used?
The DK-101 is suitable for security alarm systems to monitor door or window openings, industrial control of machine door positions, household control of washing machine lid closure, and in robotics to detect touch or obstacles.
What are the technical characteristics of the DK-101 sensor output?
The sensor has two types of outputs: NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed). The switched voltage should not exceed 220 V, and the switched power — 10 W.
What are the disadvantages of the DK-101 sensor?
Although the DK-101 sensors are inexpensive and easy to install, they may produce false triggers during strong vibrations, which should be considered when choosing the installation site.
