Description

The enterprise "REGMIK" manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-303) and analog (DVT-303) sensitive elements. The DVT-303 sensors use the HIH4xxx element for humidity measurement, while the DVTc-303 sensors use the SHTxx element. Temperature measurements are made using temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus.

The DVTc-303 humidity sensor is used in automated control and regulation systems for technological processes in production. It is also applied in control and monitoring systems for indoor microclimate and drying chambers. The protective cover of the sensor is made of sintered stainless steel particles with a fine porous structure that does not oxidize.

Thanks to this, the sensitive element is protected from fine dust and splashes falling from any direction. In case of resin, sawdust, dirt, etc., adhering to the protective cover, it can be carefully removed and washed in a solvent. However, it must be thoroughly dried before reinstalling.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert values of relative humidity of the gaseous environment and its temperature (except aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value at the humidity sensor);
  • I2C - digital sensors;
  • 0-10 V voltage - for both digital and analog sensors;
  • 4-20 mA current - for both digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature values from Pt100, Pt500, or Pt1000 sensors) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU protocol) - for digital sensors.

The application areas of air humidity sensors are very broad and include:

  • Maintaining microclimate within set limits in production equipped with humidity-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Monitoring humidity indicators in office spaces and homes;
  • In utilities - in boiler rooms and water treatment plants to prevent condensation;
  • Periodic control to help prevent the appearance of fungus, mold on building walls or warehouses;
  • Control of technological processes;
  • Monitoring environmental parameters, etc.

The material of the sensor's protective fittings is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. DVT-303 and DVTc-303 humidity and temperature sensors prevent moisture condensation.

The multilayer construction of the HIH4xxx sensitive element provides high resistance to most hazards of use, such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils, and common chemical substances in the environment. Main characteristics of sensors based on HIH4xxx elements include:

  • Cast housing made of thermosetting plastic;
  • Almost linear output voltage depending on relative humidity;
  • Interchangeability with laser calibration;
  • Low power consumption design;
  • Increased accuracy;
  • Fast response time;
  • Stable characteristics with low drift;
  • Chemical resistance.

DVT-303 and DVTc-303 humidity and temperature sensors based on SHTxxx series elements have the following distinctive characteristics:

  • High reliability and long-term stability;
  • Industry-proven technology with over 10 years of experience;
  • Designed for mass production;
  • Optimized for minimal cost;
  • Low signal noise level.

The converter operates stably within the recommended measurement ranges of humidity and temperature. Prolonged exposure to conditions outside the normal range, especially humidity above 80%, may temporarily increase measurement error. After returning to the normal range, the sensor will slowly return to factory settings.

Special caution should be exercised when using the converter in conditions of high humidity (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting can cause irreversible damage to the sensitive element.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What types of sensitive elements are used in DVT-303 and DVTc-303 sensors?
DVT-303 sensors are equipped with an analog HIH4xxx sensitive element, while DVTc-303 features a digital SHTxx element. Both models use temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus for temperature measurement.
What are the measurement ranges of humidity and temperature for DVT-303 and DVTc-303 sensors?
The sensors measure relative humidity in the range from 0 to 100% (depending on the model), and temperature from -40 to +100 °C. The operating humidity range for accurate readings is from 20 to 80%, and the operating temperature range is from +5 to +60 °C.
How is the sensitive element of the sensor protected from dust and contamination?
The protective cover is made from sintered particles of stainless steel 12X18H10T with a fine porous structure, protecting the sensitive element from dust, splashes, and fine particulate contamination. In case of contamination, the cover can be removed, washed in a solvent, and after drying, reinstalled.
What types of electrical signals are supported by DVT-303 and DVTc-303 sensors?
The sensors output signals in formats including: analog voltage, digital I2C interface, 0-10 V voltage, 4-20 mA current, resistance (for analog sensors with Pt temperature sensors), as well as digital RS-485 interface with ModBus RTU protocol (for digital sensors).
Where and for what purposes are the DVT-303 and DVTc-303 humidity and temperature sensors used?
The sensors are designed for use in automatic control systems of technological processes, microclimate monitoring in rooms and drying chambers, humidity control in offices, residential premises, boiler rooms, water treatment plants, and for preventing mold and fungus growth on walls.
