Description

The company "REGMIK" manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-002) and analog (DVT-002) sensitive elements. In the DVT-002 sensors, the HIH4xxx element is used as the sensitive element for measuring humidity, while in the DVTc-002 sensors the SHTxx element is used. Temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus are used for temperature measurement.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert the values of relative humidity of the gas environment and its temperature (except aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value on the humidity sensor);
  • I2C - digital sensors;
  • voltage 0-10 V - for digital and analog sensors;
  • current 4-20 mA - for digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature value from temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500 or Pt1000) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU Protocol) - for digital sensors.

The field of use of air humidity sensors is very wide and includes:

  • Maintaining microclimate within specified limits in production equipped with moisture-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Humidity level control in office premises and households;
  • In the housing and communal services sector - in boiler rooms and water treatment plants, which helps prevent condensation;
  • Periodic monitoring helps prevent the appearance of mold and mildew on building walls or warehouses;
  • Process control;
  • Environmental parameter monitoring and more.

The protective fittings of the sensors are made from stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-002, DVTc-002 do not allow moisture condensation.

The multilayer structure of the HIH4xxx sensitive element provides excellent resistance to most application hazards such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils, and common chemical substances in the environment. The main characteristics of sensors based on the HIH4xxx series elements include:

  • Cast body made of thermosetting plastic;
  • Almost linear output voltage depending on relative humidity;
  • Interchangeability with laser adjustment;
  • Low power consumption design;
  • Increased accuracy;
  • Fast response time;
  • Stable characteristics with low drift;
  • Chemical resistance.

Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-002, DVTc-002 based on SHTxxx series elements have the following distinct characteristics:

  • High reliability and long-term stability;
  • Industry-proven technology with over 10 years of experience;
  • Developed for mass production;
  • Optimized for minimal cost;
  • Low signal noise level.

The converter operates stably within the recommended humidity and temperature measurement range. Prolonged exposure to conditions outside the normal range, especially humidity > 80%, may temporarily increase measurement errors. After returning to the normal range, it will slowly return to factory parameters.

Special caution should be taken when using the converter in conditions of high humidity (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting may irreversibly damage the sensitive element.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What types of output signals do the humidity and temperature sensors DVT-002 and DVTc-002 support?
Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-002 have digital (I2C) or analog output, including 0-10 V voltage, 4-20 mA current, and resistance from temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500, or Pt1000. The DVTc-002 model is equipped with a digital sensitive element SHTxx and supports I2C interfaces, 0-10 V voltage, 4-20 mA current, and RS-485 (ModBus RTU).
What are the humidity and temperature sensors DVT-002, DVTc-002 intended for?
The sensors are designed to measure the relative humidity of gas environments (excluding aggressive gases) and temperature for the purpose of microclimate control, technological processes, prevention of condensation and mold appearance, as well as environmental monitoring.
What are the design features and moisture protection of the sensors?
The protective fitting material is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T; the sensors do not allow moisture condensation on the sensitive element. The HIH4xxx element has a multilayer design with high resistance to wetting, dust, dirt, oil, and chemicals. At the same time, constant exposure at humidity above 98% or near the dew point should be avoided.
What are the operating ranges and measurement errors of sensors DVT-002 and DVTc-002?
The main operating temperature range for the sensors is from +5 to +60 °C, extended from -40 to +100 °C. The working humidity range for precise measurements is from 20% to 80% relative humidity, extended from 0% to 100%. The main error depends on the sensor type but does not exceed 3-5% for humidity and 0.4-0.5 °C for temperature within the operating range.
