Description

The "REGMIK" company manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-012) and analog (DVT-012) sensitive elements. The DVT-012 sensors use a Honeywell element as the sensitive element for humidity measurement, while the DVTc-012 sensors use Sensirion. Temperature measurements employ temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert the value of relative humidity in a gaseous medium and its temperature (excluding aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value on the humidity sensor);
  • I²C - digital sensors;
  • 0-10 V voltage - for digital and analog sensors;
  • 4-20 mA current - for digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature values from temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500, or Pt1000) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU protocol) - for digital sensors.

The scope of humidity sensor application is very wide and includes:

  • Maintaining the microclimate within specified limits in production equipped with humidity-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Monitoring humidity indicators in office rooms and in everyday life;
  • In utilities - in boiler rooms and water treatment stations to prevent condensation formation;
  • Periodic control helps prevent mold and mildew formation on building walls or in storage;
  • Control of technological processes;
  • Monitoring of environmental parameters, etc.

The material of protective fittings of the sensors is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-012, DVTc-012 do not allow moisture condensation.

The multilayer construction of the sensitive element HIH4xxx provides excellent resistance to most application hazards such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils, and common chemical substances in the environment. Main characteristics of sensors based on HIH4xxx series elements:

  • Cast thermosetting plastic housing
  • Nearly linear output voltage depending on relative humidity
  • Interchangeability with laser trimming
  • Low power consumption design
  • Enhanced accuracy
  • Fast response time
  • Stable characteristics with low drift
  • Chemical resistance

The converter operates stably within the recommended measurement range of humidity and temperature. Prolonged exposure to conditions outside the normal range, especially at humidity > 80%, may temporarily increase measurement errors. After returning to the normal range, it will slowly revert to factory parameters.

Special caution should be taken when using the converter under high humidity conditions (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting may irreversibly damage the sensitive element.

Other modifications of humidity sensors are also produced, which can be found by this link...

FAQ

Questions and answers

What sensitive elements are used in the DVT-012 and DVTc-012 sensors?
The DVT-012 sensors are equipped with an analog sensitive element from Honeywell, while the DVTc-012 use a digital element from Sensirion.
What types of output signals can the DVT sensors have?
The sensors convert relative humidity and air temperature into standard electrical signals: analog voltage, digital I²C signal, output voltage 0-10 V, current 4-20 mA, resistance from Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000 sensors, as well as RS-485 (ModBus RTU) for digital sensors.
What is the temperature range and accuracy of the digital DVTc-012 sensors?
The operating temperature range for digital DVTc-012 sensors is from +5 to +60 °C, with an extended range from -40 to +100 °C. The main error in the operating range does not exceed ±0.4 °C (KChE).
Can DVT sensors be used at very high humidity?
The sensors do not allow condensation of moisture. However, at humidity above 98% or near the dew point, special care should be taken to avoid wetting the sensitive element, as this can lead to its damage.
What material is the protective fitting of the DVT sensors made from?
The protective fitting material of the sensors is made of stainless steel grade 12X18H10T, which provides protection and durability of the sensor in various operating conditions.
