Description

The enterprise "REGMIK" manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-101) and analog (DVT-101) sensitive elements. In the DVT-101 sensors, the HIH4xxx element is used as the sensitive element for humidity measurement, while the DVTc-101 sensors use the SHTxx element. For temperature measurement, sensors from the German company Heraeus are used.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert the relative humidity of a gaseous environment and its temperature (except aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value at the humidity sensor);
  • I2C - digital sensors;
  • 0-10 V voltage - for digital and analog sensors;
  • 4-20 mA current - for digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature values from temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500, or Pt1000) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU protocol) - for digital sensors.

The scope of application for air humidity sensors is very broad and includes:

  • Maintaining the microclimate within specified limits in production equipped with humidity-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Humidity monitoring in office spaces and households;
  • In the housing and communal services sector - in boiler rooms and water treatment plants, enabling condensation prevention;
  • Periodic monitoring helps prevent mold and mildew on building walls or in warehouses;
  • Control of technological processes;
  • Environmental parameter control and more.

The material for sensor protective fittings is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. The humidity and temperature sensors DVT-101, DVTc-101 do not allow moisture condensation.

The multilayer design of the HIH4xxx sensitive element provides excellent resistance to most application hazards such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils, and common chemicals in the environment. Key characteristics of sensors based on the HIH4xxx series elements:

  • Cast housing made of thermosetting plastic;
  • Nearly linear output voltage depending on relative humidity;
  • Interchangeability with laser selection;
  • Low power consumption design;
  • Increased accuracy;
  • Fast response time;
  • Stable characteristics with low drift;
  • Chemical resistance.

The humidity and temperature sensors DVT-101, DVTc-101 based on the SHTxxx series elements have the following distinctive features:

  • High reliability and long-term stability;
  • Industry-proven technology with over 10 years of experience;
  • Designed for mass production;
  • Optimized for minimal cost;
  • Low signal noise level.

The converter operates stably within the recommended humidity and temperature measurement ranges. Prolonged exposure to conditions outside the normal range, especially humidity > 80%, may temporarily increase measurement error. After returning to the normal range, the sensor slowly returns to factory settings.

Special caution should be exercised when using the converter in conditions of high humidity (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting may irreversibly damage the sensitive element.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What are the humidity and temperature sensors DVT-101 and DVTc-101 designed for?
The DVT-101 and DVTc-101 sensors are designed to measure the relative humidity of gaseous environments (excluding aggressive gases) and temperature. They convert these values into standard electrical signals such as analog voltage, digital I2C signal, 0-10 V voltage, 4-20 mA current, resistance, and RS-485 (ModBus RTU).
What sensitive elements are used in the DVT-101 and DVTc-101 sensors?
The DVT-101 sensor uses an analog HIH4xxx sensitive element for humidity, while the DVTc-101 uses a digital SHTxx sensor. For temperature, sensors from Heraeus (Germany) are used.
What are the operating temperature and humidity ranges supported by the DVT-101 and DVTc-101 sensors?
The operating temperature range of the sensors is from +5 to +60 °C, with an extended range from -40 to +100 °C. The operating relative humidity range is from 20% to 80%, extended from 0% to 100%. The error within the operating humidity range does not exceed 3-5%.
Can the sensors be used at very high humidity levels (above 98%)?
It is not recommended to use the sensors at humidity above 98% or near the dew point, as this may cause wetting of the sensitive element and irreversible damage.
What material is used for the protective fittings of the sensors?
The protective fittings of the sensors are made from stainless steel grade 12X18H10T, providing reliable protection and preventing moisture condensation on the sensors.
