Description

The enterprise "REGMIK" manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-302) and analog (DVT-302) sensitive elements. The DVT-302 sensors use HIH4xxx element as the humidity sensitive element, while the DVTc-302 sensors use the SHTxx element. German-made Heraeus temperature sensors are used for measuring temperature.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert relative humidity values of a gaseous environment and its temperature (except aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value on the humidity sensor);
  • I²C - digital sensors;
  • 0-10 V voltage - for digital and analog sensors;
  • 4-20 mA current - for digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature value from Pt100, Pt500 or Pt1000 temperature sensors) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU protocol) - for digital sensors.

The scope of use for air humidity sensors is very broad and includes:

  • Maintaining microclimate within specified limits in production equipped with humidity-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Humidity level control in office premises and residential areas;
  • In the housing and utilities, in boiler rooms and water treatment plants, which prevents condensation;
  • Periodic inspections to help prevent the appearance of mold and mildew on building walls or in storage;
  • Control of technological processes;
  • Environmental parameter monitoring, etc.

The protective fittings material of the sensors is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-302, DVTc-302 do not allow moisture condensation.

The multilayer design of the HIH4xxx sensitive element provides excellent resistance to most operational threats, such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils, and common chemicals in the environment. Main characteristics of sensors based on the HIH4xxx series elements:

  • Injected thermoset plastic housing;
  • Almost linear output voltage depending on relative humidity;
  • Interchangeability with laser trimming;
  • Low power consumption design;
  • Increased accuracy;
  • Fast response time;
  • Stable characteristics with low drift;
  • Chemical resistance.

Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-302, DVTc-302 based on SHTxxx series elements have the following distinctive characteristics:

  • High reliability and long-term stability;
  • Industry-proven technology with over 10 years of experience;
  • Designed for mass production;
  • Optimized for minimal cost;
  • Low noise signal level.

The transducer operates stably within the recommended measurement range of humidity and temperature. Prolonged exposure outside the normal range, especially at humidity > 80%, may temporarily increase measurement errors. After returning to the normal range, it will slowly return to factory parameters.

Special caution should be used when operating the transducer at high humidity (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting of the sensitive element may cause irreversible failure.

Other modifications of humidity sensors are also produced, which can be reviewed at this link...

FAQ

Questions and answers

What are the purposes of DVT-302 and DVTc-302 humidity and temperature sensors?
The DVT-302 and DVTc-302 sensors are designed to measure the relative humidity of a gaseous environment and temperature with conversion of these values into standard electrical signals such as analog voltage, 4-20 mA current, 0-10 V voltage, digital interfaces I²C and RS-485 (ModBus RTU).
What sensitive elements are installed in DVT-302 and DVTc-302 sensors?
The DVT-302 sensors use the HIH4xxx sensitive element for measuring humidity, while the DVTc-302 sensors use the SHTxx element. Temperature measurement is performed by temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus. The protective fittings are made of stainless steel grade 12X18H10T.
What are the operating ranges and measurement accuracy of humidity and temperature for DVT-302 and DVTc-302 sensors?
The operating temperature range of DVTc-302 sensors is from +5 to +60 °C, extended range from -40 to +100 °C. The basic temperature error in the operating range does not exceed ±0.4 °C for the KCE variant. For humidity, the operating range is 20–80% with an error up to 3%. Analog DVT sensors have temperature range from -35 to +80 °C with error up to ±0.5 °C (class A), humidity 0–100% with an error up to ±3–5%.
What operating conditions should be observed to avoid damage to DVT-302 and DVTc-302 sensors?
It is important to avoid moisture condensation on the sensors, not to operate them at humidity above 98% and near the dew point. Wetting of the sensitive element can lead to irreversible sensor failure.
In which fields are DVT-302 and DVTc-302 humidity and temperature sensors applied?
Sensors are used to maintain microclimate in production, humidity control in offices and homes, in boiler rooms and water treatment plants to prevent condensation, as well as for control of technological and environmental parameters.
