Description

The enterprise "REGMIK" manufactures humidity and temperature sensors with digital (DVTc-303) and analog (DVT-303) sensitive elements. In the DVT-303 sensors, the HIH4xxx element is used as the sensitive element for measuring humidity, while in the DVTc-303 sensors, the SHTxx element is used. For temperature measurement, temperature sensors from the German company Heraeus are applied.

Humidity and temperature sensors are designed to convert the value of relative humidity of the gaseous environment and its temperature (except aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals:

  • analog voltage (measured voltage value on the humidity sensor);
  • I²C - digital sensors;
  • voltage 0-10 V - for digital and analog sensors;
  • current 4-20 mA - for digital and analog sensors;
  • resistance (temperature value from temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500 or Pt1000) - for analog sensors;
  • RS-485 (ModBus RTU Protocol) - for digital sensors.

The scope of use of air humidity sensors is very broad and includes:

  • Maintaining the microclimate within specified limits in production facilities equipped with humidity-sensitive electronic devices;
  • Monitoring humidity indicators in office premises and in everyday life;
  • In the utilities sector - in boiler rooms and water treatment plants, which helps prevent condensation formation;
  • Periodic control helps prevent the appearance of mold and mildew on building walls or in warehouses;
  • Control of technological processes;
  • Control of environmental parameters and more.

The protective fittings material of the sensors is stainless steel grade 12X18H10T. The humidity and temperature sensors DVT-303, DVTc-303 do not allow moisture condensation.

The multilayer design of the HIH4xxx sensitive element provides excellent resistance to most application hazards such as wetting, dust, dirt, oils and common chemical substances in the environment. Main characteristics of sensors based on HIH4xxx series elements:

  • Cast housing made of thermosetting plastic;
  • Almost linear output voltage depending on relative humidity;
  • Interchangeability with laser calibration;
  • Low power consumption design;
  • Increased accuracy;
  • Fast response time;
  • Stable characteristics with low drift;
  • Chemical resistance.

Humidity and temperature sensors DVT-303, DVTc-303 based on SHTxxx series elements have the following distinctive characteristics:

  • High reliability and long-term stability;
  • Industry-proven technology with over 10 years of experience;
  • Designed for mass production;
  • Optimized for minimal cost;
  • Low signal noise level.

The converter operates stably within the recommended humidity and temperature measurement range. Prolonged exposure to conditions outside the normal range, especially at humidity > 80%, may temporarily increase measurement error. After returning to the normal range, it will slowly return to factory parameters.

Special caution should be taken when using the converter in high humidity conditions (> 98%) and near the dew point, as wetting can permanently damage the sensitive element.

Other modifications of humidity sensors are also produced, which can be viewed by the link...

FAQ

Questions and answers

What sensitive elements are used in the DVT-303 and DVTc-303 humidity and temperature sensors?
The DVT-303 sensors are equipped with an analog sensitive element HIH4xxx, while the DVTc-303 sensors use the digital element SHTxx.
What types of output signals do the DVT-303 and DVTc-303 sensors support?
The sensors convert relative humidity and temperature of a gaseous environment (excluding aggressive gases) into standard electrical signals: analog voltage, digital I²C interface, 0-10 V, current 4-20 mA, resistance for Pt100/Pt500/Pt1000, as well as RS-485 with ModBus RTU protocol (depending on the model).
What is the operating range and measurement accuracy of the DVT-303 and DVTc-303 sensors?
The operating temperature measurement range for the digital DVTc-303 is from +5 to +60 °C, with an extended range from -40 to +100 °C and a basic error of ±0.4 °C within the operating range. For the analog DVT-303, the temperature range is from -35 to +80 °C with an error up to ±0.5 °C (class A). For humidity, the range is 20-80 % with an error from 3 to 5 % depending on the sensor type.
What are the operating limitations of the sensors at high humidity?
It is not recommended to use the sensors at humidity above 98 % or near the dew point, as condensation can cause irreversible failure of the sensitive element. Prolonged exposure to humidity above 80 % may temporarily increase the error, but after returning to normal conditions, the characteristic will be restored.
In which areas can the DVT-303 and DVTc-303 humidity and temperature sensors be applied?
Sensors are used in climate control systems, manufacturing, office and residential premises, boiler rooms, water treatment plants, for preventing condensation, controlling technological processes, and monitoring environmental parameters.
