Temperature sensors of group 202, type 2 are designed for measuring the surface temperature of solid bodies in various industrial fields. They feature small dimensions, improved thermal inertia characteristics, and do not require complex installation when mounted on the object.
Temperature is the most common measurement parameter, and overheating is one of the most harmful factors in equipment operation. Therefore, there are many variants and application areas for temperature sensors.
The operating principle of resistance thermometers is based on the change in electrical resistance of conductors and semiconductors depending on temperature. The material from which the sensor is made must have a high temperature coefficient of resistance, a linear resistance-temperature relationship (if possible), good reproducibility of properties, and inertness to environmental influences. Platinum best meets these requirements, copper somewhat less so.
Thermocouples are differential temperature sensors. They generate an electrical signal proportional to the temperature difference between two points. The junction (weld) used for temperature measurement is called the "hot" junction, and the other junction which inevitably contacts is called the "cold" junction.
Classification of 202 REGMIK temperature sensors by type of sensing element
- Resistance thermometers (thermometers) – TSM, TSP;
