Temperature sensors 304 are devices of group 3, designed to measure the external air temperature in rooms and air ducts.

Temperature is the most commonly measured parameter, and overheating is one of the most negative factors in the operation of equipment. Therefore, there are many ways and places to use temperature sensors.

The basis of the operation of temperature sensors in automated control is the conversion of temperature into an electrical signal. This provides the advantages of electrical measurements: results are easy to transmit via a network, and the transmission speed can be quite high. Values can be converted into each other and back. The digital code creates increased measurement accuracy, speed, and sensitivity.

The principle of operation of resistance temperature detectors is based on the change in electrical resistance of conductors and semiconductors depending on temperature. The material used to manufacture such a sensor must have a high temperature coefficient of resistance, as linear a dependence of resistance on temperature as possible, good reproducibility of properties, and inertness to environmental influences. Platinum best meets these requirements; copper somewhat less so.

• resistance temperature detectors (thermometers) - TSM, TSP;
• semiconductor converters - TP.

Main technical characteristics of temperature sensors-304:

• resistance element connection schemes - two-, three-, four-wire;
• by type of resistance element divided into:
  • resistance temperature detectors (RTD, thermo-resistance, thermometers, temperature sensors) (50M, 100M, 50P, 100P, Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Pt2000, Pt10000);
• degree of protection against dust and water - IP54;
• design of resistance temperature detectors (temperature sensors-304) - non-detachable;
• insulation resistance - at least 100 MOhm;
• tolerance classes - A, B, C (for RTDs).

The air temperature sensor TSP-304 is mounted so that air freely circulates around it. When choosing a location on the wall, it is necessary to avoid drafts, direct sunlight, and other heat sources, as well as walls facing outside.

It has small dimensions and improved thermal inertia characteristics. It does not require complex installation work when installed at the site.

Installation is performed directly on the wall.
