Temperature sensors of group 207, category 2, are designed to measure the temperature of the surface of solid bodies in various industries. They have compact dimensions, improved thermal inertia characteristics, and do not require complex installation when mounted on site.
Temperature is the most common measured parameter, and overheating is one of the most dangerous factors in equipment operation. That is why there is a wide variety of methods and applications for temperature sensors.
The operating principle of resistance temperature detectors is based on the change in electrical resistance of conductors and semiconductors depending on temperature. The sensor material must have a high temperature coefficient of resistance, preferably a linear dependence of resistance on temperature, good reproducibility of characteristics, and inertness to environmental influences. Platinum best meets these requirements; copper is somewhat worse.
Thermocouples are differential temperature sensors that generate an electrical signal proportional to the temperature difference between two different points. The junction (weld) used for measurement is called the "hot" junction, while the other is the "cold" junction.
Temperature sensors (transducers) of group 2 are designed to measure the temperature of the surface of solid bodies in various industries. They have compact dimensions, improved thermal inertia characteristics, and do not require complex installation during mounting.
Classification of 207 REGMIK temperature sensors by type of measuring (sensitive) element:
- Resistance temperature detectors (thermometers) — TSM, TSP;
- Thermoelectric transducers (thermocouples) — TXA, TXK, TZhK;
- Semiconductor transducers — TP.
Main technical specifications of 207 temperature sensors:
- SE connection circuit — two-, three-, four-wire;
- By SE type they are divided into:
- resistance temperature detectors (RTDs, thermometers, temperature sensors) (50M, 100M, 50P, 100P, Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Pt2000, Pt10000);
- thermoelectric transducers (thermocouples, temperature sensors) (TXA (K), TXK (L));
- semiconductor (DS18B20);
- Dust and moisture protection rating — IP54;
- Construction of temperature sensors (transducers) — non-disassemblable;
- Insulation resistance — not less than 100 MΩ;
- Accuracy classes — A, B, C (for RTDs), 1, 2 (for thermocouples).
