Description

Temperature sensors with a unified output TSPU-303p, TSMU-303p or Universal Temperature Transmitters (PTU) are intended for measuring temperature and converting the measured value into a 4..20 mA, 0..10 V, or RS-485 signal. 303p temperature sensors are used for measuring ambient temperature, liquid, gaseous and bulk media temperatures in various industries where the ambient temperature does not exceed 85 °C.

Structurally, temperature sensors with a unified output TSPU-303p, TSMU-303p are 303p type sensors with a built-in conversion board outputting a 4..20 mA, 0..10 V signal or an RS-485 interface with the ModBus RTU communication protocol.

Universal Temperature Transmitters are intended for:

  • Converting resistance value into a current signal (4..20 mA) proportional to the temperature value;
  • Converting resistance value into a voltage signal (0..10 V) proportional to the temperature value;
  • Measuring and transmitting the measured temperature value via RS-485 interface (protocol ModBus RTU).

Main characteristics of temperature sensors with unified output TSPU-303P, TSMU-303P

  • Measured temperature range — from -40 to 270 °C;
  • Minimum mounting part length — 80 mm;
  • Powered from a 24 V DC power supply;
  • Voltage output converters (0..10 V) are manufactured only in Z-65 housing;
  • RS-485 signal converters are manufactured in G302 housing;
  • Tolerance classes of the sensitive element installed in the temperature sensor — 1 / 3B (for resistance thermometers TSP), A, B, C (for TSM and TSP), 1 and 2 (for thermocouples TXA, TXK, TJK);
  • Design of resistance thermometers — non-disassemblable;
  • Insulation resistance — not less than 100 MOhm.

Temperature sensors with unified output signal can be manufactured with mounting lengths from 80 to 3000 mm, diameters from 4 to 16 mm.

For installation locations where ambient air temperature is below 85 °C, temperature sensors with unified output signal with a terminal head made of high-temperature press material can be used, for example, type 001 (temperature up to 270 °C) or duralumin (temperature up to 350 °C). In this case, the converter board should be used in a separate housing.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What are the temperature sensors with a unified output TSPU-303p and TSMU-303p designed for?
Temperature sensors TSPU-303p and TSMU-303p are designed to measure the temperature of the surrounding environment, liquid, gaseous, and bulk media in industry with conversion to output signals 4..20 mA, 0..10 V, or RS-485.
What types of output signals do these sensors support?
The measured temperature value is converted into a current signal 4..20 mA, a voltage signal 0..10 V, or a digital RS-485 interface with ModBus RTU protocol.
What is the measurable temperature range and the maximum allowable ambient temperature?
The measurable temperature range is from -40 to 270 °C; the external ambient temperature for the standard model with a terminal head should not exceed 85 °C.
What are the available sizes of the sensor mounting part?
Sensors can have a mounting part length from 80 to 3000 mm and a diameter from 4 to 16 mm. The minimum length of the mounting part is 80 mm.
What are the power conditions and housing features for sensors with different outputs?
Power is supplied by a constant voltage of 24 V. The 0..10 V signal is available only in the Z-65 housing, the RS-485 interface is available in the G302 housing.
