Description

Conductometric level sensors DU-004 are designed for signaling levels of electrically conductive liquids (water, milk, food products - weak acidic, alkaline, and others).

In the simplest form, the conductometric level sensor DU-004 represents stainless steel electrodes, one of which acts as the common electrode in the control circuit and is installed in the tank so that its working part constantly contacts the liquid; in particular, the common electrode can be the conductive tank body containing the liquid. Other electrodes are signal electrodes and are located at specific levels to be monitored.

Single-electrode level sensors are suitable for operation in metal tanks of closed or open types.

The conductometric level sensor DU-004 is manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724 standard, cylindrical pipe thread according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch thread according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Mounting threads can be made upon Customer request according to other standards.

For installation on-site, level sensors have standard threads M20x1.5, M16x1.5, or G1/2.
Both horizontal and vertical installation of the conductometric level sensor with DU-004 connector is possible.
To extend the working part of the sensor electrodes, the user-provided threading is available at the end of the electrode.

Conductometric level sensors are made of steel grade 12X18H10T according to EN 10088. Upon Customer request, thermometer sleeves can be made of other steels.

AISI 321 (12X18H10T, 08X18H10T) — heat-resistant, corrosion and heat-resistant austenitic steel. It has high strength and durability. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in highly aggressive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 (08X18H10) — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in medium active environments.
AISI 316L (03X17H14M3) — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti (10X17H13M2T) — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C in highly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 (12X17) — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in weakly aggressive environments.
12X1MF — heat-resistant, pearlitic steel resistant to long-term exposure to high temperatures. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

Conductometric level sensors DU-004 are designed to operate at a controlled medium temperature up to 200 °C with a working medium pressure up to 1.4 MPa.
The specific electrical conductivity of the medium should be at least 0.015 S/m.

FAQ

Questions and answers

For which liquids are the conductometric level sensors DU-004 suitable?
Conductometric level sensors DU-004 are designed for signaling the levels of electrically conductive liquids such as water, milk, and food products of weakly acidic or alkaline environments.
What mounting and installation options are available for DU-004 sensors?
Sensors are manufactured with threads M20x1.5, M16x1.5, or G1/2, with the possibility of horizontal or vertical installation. For extending the electrodes, threading is provided at the end of the electrode.
What operating conditions (temperature, pressure, conductivity) do the DU-004 sensors support?
Conductometric level sensors DU-004 are designed to operate at temperatures up to 200 °C and working pressure up to 1.4 MPa. The specific conductivity of the medium should be at least 0.015 S/m.
What material are the DU-004 sensors made from, and are other steel options available?
Sensors are made from steel 12Х18Н10Т (AISI 321), which is heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Upon request, production from other steels such as AISI 304, 316L, 430, 12Х1МФ, etc., is possible.
Can the electrodes of the DU-004 sensor be extended, and how does this affect the cost?
To extend the working part of the electrodes, the user can utilize the threading at the electrode's end. The price of a sensor with an electrode length exceeding 100 mm is the base price plus 30 UAH for every additional 100 mm.
