The PID controller RP2-Z is designed to control electric actuators of shut-off regulating valves (SRV) or three-way valves without position feedback by PID or pulse law, allowing regulation of input physical quantity by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law in a "heater-cooler" system using two channels, and also can act as a weather-dependent controller with two outputs.

Description

The dual-channel PID controller for controlling gate valves and three-position valves (RP2-Z) is designed to receive and convert signals coming from resistance temperature detectors (RTD), thermocouples (TC) and sensors with standardized output current signals (AT) and voltage signals (AN) into temperature values (or other physical quantities) and display them on built-in digital indicators with simultaneous temperature control of objects by the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law using two channels.

The RP2-Z allows control of an electric actuator of shut-off regulating valve (SRV) or three-way valve without considering its position by PID or pulse control law using two channels.

The dual-channel controller automatically monitors the state of sensors and whether the measured temperature is within the set measurement range.

Main functions of RP2-Z:

  • Measurement of temperature, humidity, pressure (or other physical parameters) of various objects on one or two channels using standard sensors:
    resistance temperature detectors [RTD], thermocouples [TC],
    sensors with unified output current signals 0..5 mA, 0(4)..20 mA [AT], and
    voltage signals 0..1V, 0..10V [AN] on two channels;
  • Display on built-in LED digital indicators of current and set temperature values on two channels;
  • Production of weather-dependent controller with two outputs (automatic change of set temperature of the first channel based on temperature of the second channel);
  • Humidity control (psychrometric method);
  • Possible production of devices for working with digital humidity sensors (indicate DVT input when ordering);
  • Control of physical quantity by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law on two channels;
  • Control of electric actuator of shut-off regulating valve (SRV) or three-way valve without position feedback by PID or pulse law on two channels;
  • Maintenance of object temperature by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) law in "heater-cooler" system on two channels;
  • Possibility to change setpoint temperature values for PID controller;
  • Possibility of automatic tuning of PID controller coefficients;
  • Data exchange with personal computer via RS-485 interface;
  • The device has two four-digit seven-segment indicators;
  • Two power supply options: from 220V AC mains or 12..24V DC source;
  • Light indication of device operating mode, formation of "Error" signal.
