Description

The RD4 four-channel two-position regulator performs two-position control of the input physical quantity, automatically monitors the condition of the input sensor, detects if the measured input value is outside the set measurement range, verifies correct parameter input and instrument calibration. Based on the monitoring results, an "Error" signal is generated.
The regulator is available in two versions: AC mains voltage 90..240V (IPI) or DC power supply 12..24V (IP24). Models with two indicators for simultaneous display of current, set values, and alphanumeric information are also available.

Purpose:

The RD4 four-channel two-position regulator is designed to receive and convert signals from resistance temperature detectors (RTD or TS), thermoelectric converters (TC or PT), and sensors with standardized current and voltage output signals, measuring temperature, humidity, pressure (or other physical parameters), and displaying them on built-in digital indicators with simultaneous temperature regulation of objects by a two-position control law.
The instrument automatically monitors sensor status, whether the measured quantity is within the specified measurement range, parameter correctness, and device calibration. An "Error" signal is generated based on monitoring results.

The device can be used to monitor various technological processes in industry, agriculture, and municipal services.

The device allows performing the following functions:

    • - Measurement of temperature, humidity, pressure (or other physical parameters) of various objects on four channels using standard RTD, TC sensors and/or sensors with standardized output current signals 0 (4).. 20 mA, 0..5 mA and voltage 0..1V, 0..10V;
    • Humidity measurement based on the psychrometric method using standard RTDs;
    • Calculation of sum, difference, and average value between any two input parameters of the device;
    • Display on built-in LED digital indicators of current and set temperature values for one of the channels;
    • Temperature regulation of objects by two-position control law on four channels;
    • Temperature regulation of an object by multi-position law on one channel;
    • Stopping control of actuators after a programmable time;
    • Operation in pulse regulator mode (with the ability to set pulse period and duration);
    • Light indication of device operating mode;
    • Data exchange with a personal computer via RS-485 interface;
    • Generation of "Error" signal;
    • Software modification of conversion characteristic parameters.

Functional measurement and control parameters are set by service personnel and stored in the device’s non-volatile memory when power is off.
The device is designed for use under the following environmental conditions:
Ambient air temperature around the device housing: +5... +50 °C;
Atmospheric pressure: 86... 107 kPa;
Relative air humidity (at +35 °C): 30... 80%.
