Two-position two-channel regulator RD2

The RD2 temperature meter/regulator performs two-position control of input physical quantities, automatically monitors the status of the input sensor, detects when the measured input value is out of the set measurement range, verifies correct parameter input and calibration of the device. Based on control results, an "Error" signal is generated.
The regulator is available in two variations: AC voltage network 90..240V (IPI) or DC power source = 12..24V (IP24). Models with two indicators for simultaneous display of current, set value and alphabetical information are also possible.

Purpose of RD2

The two-position two-channel regulator RD2 is designed for measuring, indicating and controlling temperature of various media in refrigeration equipment, drying chambers, industrial/domestic ovens and other technological equipment, as well as for measurement and regulation by two-position law of other physical quantities (level, flow, pressure, humidity, etc.) using sensors with a unified analog signal.

General functions and operating modes of the RD2 temperature regulator:

• measuring temperature of objects using resistance temperature detectors (temperature sensors) TCM (50M, 100M) and TSP (50P, 100P, Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000), thermocouples (TXK, TXA, TJk and others), sensors with unified output current signals AT (0..5 mA, 0..20 mA, 4..20 mA) and voltage AN (0..1 V, 0..5 V, 0..10 V);
• controlling input physical quantities by two-position law on two channels;
• temperature control by three-position law (one channel);
• humidity measurement based on psychrometric method;
• display of measured values on built-in LED indicator (digital temperature indicator);
• scaling of measurement range (for AN and AT sensors);
• light indication of operating modes of RD2 temperature regulator (sensor failure, programming);
• software change of conversion characteristic parameters (slope, offset);
• digital filtering of measurements (filter depth - up to 10 measurement periods);
• change of indication period of measured value;
• digital calibration of input channel;
• front panel button programming;
• password protection of parameters;
• saving settings on power off;
• built-in power supply = 24V, 100mA for active sensors in modifications with AN and/or AT;
• RS-485 ModBus RTU interface.

The RD2 temperature regulator has an advanced version — the universal instrument RP2-U. RP2-U is produced both for panel mounting and for DIN-rail installation. The new modification fully replaces the RD2 two-position two-channel temperature regulator in functionality and has a number of additional features.

We recommend using the new universal instrument RP2-U instead of the RD2 regulator, which fully replaces RD2 and has more functional capabilities. RP2-U has passed EMC and static tests and complies with IP54 standard on the front panel side.
