Description

Temperature sensors TSP-111, TSM-111, TXA-111, TZHK-111, and TXK-111 of group 1 are designed to measure the temperature of the surrounding environment, liquid, gaseous, and bulk chemically non-aggressive media, as well as the surface of solid bodies in various industries.

Temperature is the most common measured parameter, and overheating is one of the most significant negative factors in equipment operation, so there are many methods and applications for temperature sensors.

The principle of operation of resistance temperature detectors is based on the change in electrical resistance of conductors and semiconductors depending on temperature. The material from which such a sensor is made must have a high temperature coefficient of resistance, preferably a linear dependence of resistance on temperature, high reproducibility of properties, and inertness to environmental influences. Platinum best meets these requirements; copper less so.

Thermocouples are exclusively differential temperature sensors. They generate an electrical signal proportional to the temperature difference between two different points. Therefore, the junction (joint) used to measure the required temperature is called the "hot" junction, while the other junction (which is inevitable) is called the "cold" junction.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What media are the temperature sensors of the series TSP-111, TSM-111, TXA-111, TJK-111, and TXK-111 suitable for?
The sensors TSP-111, TSM-111, TXA-111, TJK-111, and TXK-111 are designed to measure the temperature of the ambient environment, liquid, gaseous, and bulk chemically non-aggressive media, as well as the surface of solid bodies.
What is the operating principle of the TSP-111 and TXA-111 temperature sensors?
Resistance temperature detectors (TSM, TSP) operate on the principle of changing the electrical resistance of a material depending on temperature, most often using platinum or copper. Thermocouples (TXA, TXK, TJK) are differential sensors that generate an electrical signal proportional to the temperature difference between the "hot" and "cold" junctions.
What connection schemes are supported by the TSP-111 and TSM-111 temperature sensors?
The sensors have various connection options: two-wire, three-wire, and four-wire connection schemes for the sensitive elements.
How is the resistance of the sensors ensured against external influences?
The protective fitting material of the sensors is steel grade 12X18H10T. The sensors also have an IP54 protection rating, which provides protection against dust and water.
