DU-002 Level Sensor

Level sensors DU-002 are designed to signal the levels of electrically conductive liquids (water, milk, food products - weakly acidic, alkaline, etc.).

In its simplest form, the DU-002 level sensor is an electrode made of stainless steel, one of which serves as the common one in the control circuit and is installed in the container so that its working part is constantly in contact with the liquid; in particular, the common electrode can be the conductive body of the container with liquid. Other electrodes act as signal electrodes and are located at specified levels to be monitored.

Single-electrode level sensors are suitable for operation in metal containers of closed or open type.

The conductometric DU-002 level sensor is manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe thread according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch thread according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Mounting thread can be made to Customer's request according to other standards.

For installation on site, the level sensors have standard threads M20x1.5, M16x1.5, or G1/2.
Both horizontal and vertical installation of the conductometric level sensor with DU-002 connector is possible.
To extend the working part of the sensor electrodes, the user has a thread provided at the end of the electrode.

Conductometric level sensors are made of steel 12X18H10T according to EN 10088. Upon Customer's request, thermometer sleeves can be made from other steels.

AISI 321 12X18H10T 08X18H10T — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature resistant austenitic steel. It has high strength and durability. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in strongly aggressive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 08X18H10 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in environments of medium activity.
AISI 316L 03X17H14M3 — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti 10X17H13M2T — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C in strongly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 12X17 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12X1MF — heat-resistant, resistant to prolonged exposure to high temperatures, pearlitic class steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

Electrode diameter — 6 mm.
DU-002 level sensors are produced for control medium temperature up to 125 °C with working medium pressure up to 0.8 MPa.
The specific electrical conductivity of the medium must be not less than 0.015 S/m.
