DU-001 Level Sensor

Level sensor DU-001 is designed for signaling the levels of electrically conductive liquids (water, milk, food products - weakly acidic, alkaline, etc.).

In its simplest form, the DU-001 level sensor consists of stainless steel electrodes, one of which serves as a common electrode in the control circuit and is installed in the tank so that its working part continuously contacts the liquid; in particular, the conductive tank body containing the liquid can serve as the common electrode. Other electrodes act as signal electrodes and are located at certain levels that need to be monitored.

Single-electrode DU-001 level sensors are suitable for operation in closed or open-type metal tanks.

The conductometric DU-001 level sensor is manufactured with mounting threads: metric according to ISO 724, cylindrical pipe threads according to BSPP / ISO 228-1, and tapered inch threads according to NPT / ANSI-ASME B1.20.1. Mounting threads can be made to order according to other standards upon customer's request.

For installation at the site, level sensors have standard threads M20x1.5, M16x1.5, or G1/2.
Horizontal or vertical installation of the DU-001 conductometric level sensor is possible.
To extend the working part of the electrodes, the sensor’s electrodes have a thread at the end for user extension.

Conductometric level sensors are made of steel 12X18H10T according to EN 10088. Upon customer's request, thermometer sleeves can be made from other steels.

AISI 321 12X18H10T 08X18H10T — heat-resistant, corrosion and heat resistant austenitic steel. It has high strength and durability. It is used at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in highly aggressive environments up to 350 °C.
AISI 304 08X18H10 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in environments of medium activity.
AISI 316L 03X17H14M3 — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 450 °C in most aggressive environments.
AISI 316Ti 10X17H13M2T — corrosion-resistant austenitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C in highly aggressive environments.
AISI 430 12X17 — heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant ferritic steel. Used at temperatures up to 400 °C in mildly aggressive environments.
12X1MF — heat-resistant, resistant to prolonged high-temperature exposure pearlitic steel. Used at temperatures up to 600 °C.

Electrode diameter — 6 mm.
DU-001 level sensors are produced for controlled medium temperature up to 125 °C, with a working pressure up to 0.8 MPa.
The specific conductivity of the medium should be not less than 0.015 S/m.
